Ca’Lefort 3-in-1 Beverage Refrigerator: Installation and Use Guide

The Ca’Lefort 3-in-1 Beverage Refrigerator brings a sphere ice maker, a freezer, and a beverage refrigerator together in one appliance. Before adding it to your home bar or entertaining space, check the available space, water supply, and electrical requirements. You’ll also want to allow enough time for the first ice-making cycles.
This guide walks through what to prepare before installation and what to expect during everyday use. For detailed installation instructions and initial setup, refer to the owner’s manual for this model.

1. Check the Space and Choose Your Installation Type

This model supports both built-in and freestanding installation. Before scheduling delivery, measure the area where you plan to place it and compare those measurements with the appliance dimensions below.

Measurement Appliance Dimensions
Width 23.42 inches, approximately 59.5 cm
Depth 23.62 inches, approximately 60 cm
Height 34.25 inches, approximately 87 cm

These measurements describe the appliance itself, not the required cabinet opening. If you’re planning a built-in installation, check the owner’s manual for the required installation space. Leave at least 6 mm (about ¼ inch) of clearance on each side and at the top, and 12 mm (about ½ inch) at the rear to allow for proper ventilation.

Also check the manual for door swing and any additional installation requirements. Leave enough room to position the appliance properly and open its door comfortably once installed.

2. Prepare the Water Supply and Connect the Inlet Line

Confirm Water Quality and Pressure

The sphere ice maker needs a pressurized water supply, whether the appliance is installed as a built-in or freestanding unit.

The water must be safe to drink and pass through a water purifier or drinking-water filtration system before entering the appliance. The required inlet water pressure is 28–85 psi.

Check both water quality and pressure before installation to make sure your supply meets these requirements.

Connect the Supplied Water Line

The appliance comes with a 5.9-foot (1.8-meter) NSF-certified PE water inlet line with a quick-connect fitting. The line connects directly to the appliance’s water inlet, with no additional fitting needed at that connection.

Before attaching the line, follow the water-line preparation steps in the owner’s manual and make sure your water supply is compatible with the inlet connection. Once connected, the appliance draws water automatically, so there’s no need to refill it by hand.

If you’re unsure whether your water supply is suitable, you can share the supply details and photos of the installation area and water connection with the Ca’Lefort support team for assistance.

3. Check Electrical and Drain Requirements

Make sure a suitable electrical outlet is available near the installation area. The electrical connection must meet the requirements outlined in the owner’s manual for this model.

The appliance comes with a space-saving angled U.S. power plug. Allow room for the plug and follow the manual’s electrical requirements when planning the installation.

During normal operation, this model does not require a separate, dedicated external drain line. This applies specifically to the 3-in-1 appliance. If stored ice melts during a power outage, the resulting water needs to be handled separately, as explained below.

4. Complete Initial Setup and Discard the Initial Ice

Once the appliance is installed, complete the initial setup and water-line preparation described in the owner’s manual before starting ice production.

Two requirements apply during first use:

  • Discard the first two batches of sphere ice.
  • Do not use any ice produced during the first 24 hours in drinks.

These are two separate requirements. Even after discarding the first two batches, ice produced during the first 24 hours should not be used in drinks.

Plan for this preparation period if you’re setting up the appliance before a gathering or serving cocktails soon after installation.

5. Understand Ice Production and Storage Capacity

Under normal conditions, the ice maker produces three solid ice spheres, each 50 mm (about 2 inches) in diameter, about every 10 hours. The storage bin can hold up to 40 ice spheres, and production stops automatically when the bin is full.

Production rate tells you how quickly new ice is made, while storage capacity refers to how much ice the appliance can hold.

After the first startup, the ice maker needs time to build its supply through several production cycles.

If you’re preparing for a gathering, begin making ice well in advance so there’s enough time for it to accumulate. Also allow for the initial ice-discard requirements. A storage capacity of 40 spheres doesn’t mean that amount of usable ice will be ready on installation day.

6. Use the Freezer and Beverage Compartments Correctly

The freezer compartment operates at 0°F (about −18°C), while the beverage compartment has a temperature range of 34–65°F (about 1–18°C).

Because the two compartments run at different temperatures, plan where drinks, mixers, and other ingredients will go.

Store cocktail ingredients and other food in sealed containers so they don’t come into direct contact with the appliance’s interior surfaces.

7. Handle Ice and Meltwater After a Power Outage

If the power goes out unexpectedly, ice stored in the bin may begin to melt. Any water that collects as a result must be removed manually.

Refer to the owner’s manual for instructions on handling the ice and restarting the appliance after an outage. This is different from the drainage requirements during normal operation, so be sure to follow the appropriate guidance for each situation.

Final Checklist Before Use

  • Confirm the appliance dimensions and required clearances for built-in installation.
  • Check that the drinking-water supply meets the filtration and inlet pressure requirements, and that the water-line connection is compatible.
  • Make sure a suitable electrical outlet is available nearby.
  • Complete the initial setup and water-line preparation according to the owner’s manual.
  • Follow both initial ice-discard requirements and allow enough time to build a usable ice supply.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Does the ice maker still need a water connection if the appliance is freestanding?

Yes. A freestanding installation changes how the appliance is positioned, but the sphere ice maker still needs a pressurized water connection.

The water supply must meet the stated filtration requirements and inlet pressure range of 28–85 psi. Once connected, the appliance draws water automatically, so manual refilling isn’t necessary.

2. Does the included water inlet line replace the need for a water filter?

No. The included PE inlet line connects the appliance to the water supply, but it doesn’t replace the required filtration system.

Before entering the appliance, the water must pass through a water purifier or drinking-water filtration system and be safe to drink.

3. Can I use the ice after 24 hours if the first two batches have not both been discarded?

No. Both initial-use requirements must be met before using the ice in drinks.

You need to discard the first two batches of sphere ice and avoid using any ice produced during the first 24 hours.

Waiting 24 hours doesn’t remove the need to discard the first two batches. Likewise, discarding two batches doesn’t make ice produced during the first 24 hours suitable for drinks.

4. What information should I provide if I am unsure whether my installation location is suitable?

Share the dimensions of your intended installation space, details of the available water supply, and photos showing where the appliance and water connection will be located.

This information can help the Ca’Lefort support team assess whether the space and water supply are suitable before delivery. For the final installation requirements, always refer to the owner’s manual for this model.
